this city has many hills.

Well, yesterday was the first real day of work. None of this riding around desperately, barking at every pedestrian trying to get them in your cab. No, yesterday was one of those pedicab perfect days where you get a fare right out of the garage and as soon as you make a drop off, there are more customers clamoring to get in and take a ride. When it is like this, the only limitation on how much money you make is your own body. And I hit my one day limit...
The National Mall, which runs a little over two miles from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial is a flat, level bit of town (more or less), with the Capitol and White House perched on hills. From this location, there is elevation gain in every direction. There are hills such that if i were in my lovely, relatively flat hometown, I would stop and turn to my fare: "This is as far as i go guys." If only this where an option.
